Classic Progression

Upon creating your character, you will by default (if the option is active) spawn in the Tutorial area.

Going through the Mines of Glooming Deep tutorial won’t really award you anything much special other than the Imperium Charm mentioned above, however you can still play through it for the sake of learning if you aren’t very familiar, if at all, with the basics of the game in general. Otherwise, you also go with Crescent Reach (which we recommend) or with the starting city of your race.

The Crescent Reach is great for starting out, as all the creatures there on this server will drop basic defiant gear with good starter stats that can carry you easily until level 50, as well as a few good items like gems and drake claws that you can farm and sell to merchants for some easy money early on.

For leveling, you can follow a general leveling guide of your choice. My recommendation would be to refer to Almar’s leveling guide online.

Otherwise, a quick path to follow would be the following:

  • 1 ~ 20 Crescent Reach
  • 20 ~ 30 Mistmoore Castle
  • 30 ~ 40 Upper/Lower Guk
  • 40 ~ 50 Karnor's Castle, Dulak
In-Game Tip:

Make sure to loot as many corpses as you can while playing, as there is a slim chance for them to have powerful items with high stats to help you out during your journey and boost your power a bit. This is one of the many features on the server to keep players from hitting a wall during progression because of lacking stats or relevant gear when tackling harder content.

Ding! Welcome to level 50

Congratulations! this is where you will start your journey on the server and your progression through the game’s expansions. Once you’ve reached level 50, it is recommended you do a small gear check to make sure you aren’t missing anything. It is best to make sure you have something decent enough in the majority of your equipment slots, as well as have a few augments in your weapons if needed, before hunting for your first Named progression target. Otherwise, you can also start your progression way before if you are more experimented and know what you are doing, or even have some twink item. Some classes can generally start their progression as soon as level 45.

Unlocking progression tiers

To know which named targets are required to kill before unlocking the next progression tier, you can talk to the Tier NPC guides in the Guild Lobby’s eastern room. Any other targets not mentioned are optional.

Upon killing one of the required targets for progression, a “ghost” form of the target will appear. It is very weak, slap it around and loot its keys. Finally, head back to the Guild Lobby and speak to the Keymaster called “Vinz Clortho”, in the center area, on the left. Give him the key you looted and he will unlock new zones for you to progress into, as well as reward you with special charms giving good bonus stats and special clicky abilities for each different key you give him.

Now, let's start the hunt!

Bounty list

Kill one of these targets to unlock and access The Ruins of Kunark raid zones of Old Sebilith. Loot the key from killing one of their Ghosts and give it to Vinz Clortho.
